Lindsey + Patrick Married | Georgian Terrace | Lutheran Church of the Redeemer | Trolley Barn

Greetings fan! We’ve got a beautiful wedding on the blog for you today. A lot of my past wedding client know this, but one of the first questions I ask potential clients to get to know them a little is “Who did you meet?” These two had some very *interesting* answers. Lets start with Patrick’s answer from one of our first emails together:

“Lindsey and I met several times through a mutual friend before we started dating (though I was quite smitten each time I saw her).  A year and a half after we first met we managed to go on our first date, and since then, we’ve been inseparable. We went to the drive-in movies for our first date, and we’ve returned back to it many times. We’ve been together for about two and a half years and engaged for six months. I proposed to Lindsey last June at a cabin in the North Georgia Mountains. I surprised her by hiding the engagement ring in a scrapbook I made for her. When she turned to the page that had the ring hidden on it, I dropped to a knee, and was surprised when Lindsey slammed the book shut and began laughing hysterically! Lucky for me… I could tell it was a good laugh and I eventually got a yes out of her!”

Most of the time the bride is my point of contact so I was very intrigued when Patrick took the time to answer all my questions. Later that day, I was surprised to find another email from the Lindsey answering all my “get to know you” questions too. Let’s read what Lindsey had to say:

“I concur with all of Patrick’s responses, although our love story sounds so matter of fact!  We are a lot like you and Bowie…complete opposites. Patrick is very put together and I’m a complete mess. We compliment each others personalities. Here’s my version 😉

Our first meeting was at a mutual friends 80’s party. It was a sight to see. Patrick wore a bright blue Nitro unitard and I wore some sweet MC Hammer pants. We were both seeing other people at the time but I’ll never forget his physique in that unitard 😉

We went on our first date to a drive in off Moreland and that remains our favorite date spot. Our early and wild dates consisted of dressing up and going to Rocky Horror or to Johnnies Hideaway. These days we’re a little more tame but still like to have fun!

Over the summer, I finally got Patrick to commit to a weekend away from work for a vacation to the beach. The Tuesday before, he said the house had been booked and we couldn’t go. I was more than a little bummed, but he told me he was able to get us a weekend at a cabin that his boss had offered. Come to find out, we were never really going to the beach- he had the whole cabin booked for months! Sneaky! We got up there about midnight and enjoyed wine and snacks on the back porch and he was not listening to a damn word I was saying! He was acting so funny, and then went and got the book he made me. I was SO surprised that I started laughing hysterically…you know…when you laugh at inappropriate times?! I was just so happy and shocked. Anyways, it was the sweetest and best night of my life to date.”
This adorable, life-loving couple are perfectly made for each other. Just as I live and love, I will always know that opposites attract! They had an unbelievably sweet wedding at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. We started at the totally beautiful Georgian Terrace and finished the evening at the Trolley Barn. The night was full of love. Lindsey and Patrick surrounded themselves with their closest friends and family and dance the night away to one amazing band! We were so thankful for being treated like guest at this amazing wedding and were thrilled to share the day with the whole crew.
To Lindsey and Patrick: You two really have some thing special and it shows each time we see each other. You guys are patient loving and so kind – and you know we sure so love couples that share our love for dressing up and acting the fool! We wish you all the years of love and laughter and can’t wait to see you guys grow your family! Cheers to you and as always – Cheers to love!
