Reynolds Plantation Wedding | Lake Oconee – Alternative Life Photography & Design – We’ve got a great one for you today guys. An amazing Reynolds Plantation Wedding! Meet Megan + Bobby. Megan + Bobby are two of the sweetest people Bowie and I have ever worked with. We totally connect on so many levels. Bobby + Sharon – we so love video games! We both bonded the moment I mention the famed Chrono Trigger, one of the best video games I’ve ever played in my life! We hit it off super quick chatting about how we like the cartridge game on Super Nintendo better than the lame Playstation game. ANYWAY – Bowie + Megan (well really all of us) bonded the moment he found out she worked for Turner. TV, TV, TV – Bowie was just getting into The Walking Dead and he and Megan dished about how much they both liked the show.
I worked with miss Megan on her invitations creation. Our collaborative idea bled throughout her entire wedding. We worked with Splendid Lady Designs to create a custom illustration for these very unique people! Megan + Bobby’s personality shined through the main reason for creating custom invitations in the first place. We created illustrations of these two love birds as children for the Save the Date and as adults for the Invitations and some of the many details at their wedding! Check it out:
The rest of the day was wrapped in beauty, whimsy and total love! We were so excited to be apart of this amazing display of true love. Megan + Bobby have a very unique story. They have been together over 10 years. They met in high school but get this – Bobby found a picture of miss Megan on the ground of his highschool. He playfully noted that she was going to be his lady one day. He posted this picture of Megan in his locker in hopes of a meeting her one day (again high school so I know playful, dreamy, hopeful love!) Sometime later Bobby + Megan finally had a class together and the rest is history. Their love is so precious and I get all misty every time I think about their amazing vows. I leave you with the most amazing display of emotion and love – grab your tissues – I can’t get through the first line without crying.
Megan: I can’t tell you the moment I knew I loved you or the moment I knew that I did not want to live without you, because it’s always been the two of us…. There’s no one who challenges me, inspires me or makes me laugh the way you do…. you’re the great love of my life and I promise I’ll spend the rest of my life making our life that we are creating better than the last 10 years have been…. (tears falling – not a dry eye in the whole crowd)
Bobby: I’ve always known that you are amazing and that you are the one.. you are brilliant and beautiful and your inspire me and make me a better person… Jump into the rushing current – rip it – toll it – and punch it.. you mean everything to me and I love you… In the words of a little sea turtle name “Squirt” we’re gonna have a great jump today.. (the place is pretty much flooded in tears by this point – one of the hardest wedding for me to shoot – through tear filled eyes)
YES – those are sprinkles being thrown at Megan + Bobby – He is trying to eat them! HA! Thank you guys so much for having Bowie and I be apart of your amazing day! Just a little exciting side note – While writing this blog today I found out that this amazing wedding will be published in Occasions Magazine in September! We could not be happier for everyone involved! Cheers guys!
